During Milan Design Week 2018, ecoBirdy presented a special installation of its four-piece designer children's furniture suite at Superstudio Più. This debut collection was created entirely out of recycled plastic. The exhibit, called “Sea of Plastic”, showed a surface full of plastic waste reflected by a giant mirror that stated: “the reflection of a reality for which we are all responsible”.
The installation was intended to draw attention to ecoBirdy’s mission to reduce the sea of plastic waste that is so harmful to our planet and make the most of our earth’s precious resources.
ecoBirdy wanted to showcase the transformation of post-consumer plastic waste into designer furniture, a statement in design.
In just one week, the exhibition was visited by more than 20,000 people.
